The essence of Park City revolves around the beautiful open spaces in and around town. The Summit Land Conservancy has and continues to work toward conserving the open space that makes Park City such a unique place to live. Out of town clients and second home owners often ask for updates on how Summit County is handling the pandemic and the vaccinations. I have to say, that it's been pretty remarkable seeing the county, city, school district, and Parkites all work together to stay as safe as possible and move past this virus. Our family will be fully vaccinated within a month's time and we are grateful for all the hard work it's taken to get us there.
We're very much looking forward to a summer that's a bit more normal.
There are so many special ways to celebrate occasions in Park City. While the pandemic year was less than desirable, there were certainly some good things that came out of it. Alpen Globes were one of them. Restaurants in the area have expanded upon their outdoor dining options with these private, heated, "snow-globe" experiences.
We very much enjoyed our celebration at Stein Eriksen's Lodge. Be sure to reserve in advance!

When real estate booms, the inevitable question is, are we in a bubble? This article by the Wall Street Journal is an interesting look at how this boom is quite different from the last bubble caused by loose mortgage lending standards. This boom is being looked at as more stable due to the the increased lending requirements. Give me a call if you want to discuss further.
The Park Silly Sunday Market is another favorite Park City activity that was missed last summer. This open air market on Park City's historic main street offer arts, crafts, food, drinks, music, and fun! To make it more of an adventure, we often ride our bikes from home, utilize the market's bike valet. Click on the link below for more details.
During the 2020 Pandemic year, one of the most missed Park City traditions were the concerts provided by Mountain Town Music. In a typical year, this organization puts on 400 concerts in and around Park City each summer. These concerts are primarily outdoor at large and small venues and picnicking and visiting with friends is encouraged.
Our favorite venue as Snow Park at Deer Valley each Wednesday though out the summer.

I think we were all pretty excited to hear that Park City Mountain Resort extended it's closing date to April 11, 2021. All things considered, they did their best this year to operate their mountains safely during a pandemic and we're grateful to have been able to get out and ski some of the greatest snow on earth!
Deer Valley will be closing the same day, so get your last month of skiing in!
