It's great to hear that Park City's Mayor is predicting a comeback this summer. Discussions for the town's typical holiday festivities are still in progress as officials keep an eye on Covid-19 metrics. We're excited to have a little more "normalcy" return to town.
We were so pleased to hear that our neighboring town, Heber City, is beginning a Dark Sky Initiative. Those of us who have had the experience to view the night sky with little light pollution know how wonderous this sight can be. Kudos to Heber City! As reported by KPCW radio station https://www.kpcw.org/post/heber-city-begins-dark-sky-initiative#stream/0
Our of our favorite Netfilx shows during the pandemic has been Dream Home Makeover by locally entrepreneurs Shea and Syd McGee. This local couple started Studio McGee interior design firm and McGee and Co for home merchandise. We love seeing Utah as the backdrop for the show and Shea's design is perfect for our mountain area.

As a whole, the community of Park City desires locally-owned, authentic, restaurants. Restauranteur, Bill White, has provided Park City with some great options over the years. Bill White Restaurants has 7 restaurants, a bakery, and a farm in town. We've enjoyed many date-nights and special occasions at these restaurants. https://bwrestaurants.com/

Parkites are know to be active, outdoor enthusiasts. One of the most popular summer sports is cycling, both road and mountain. Six years ago the Stay Park City Cycling club was founded. Chandra and I have been involved each year and we've made life-long friends and gone on some pretty epic cycling adventures. Cycling season is just starting up, come by for one of the weekly rides. https://www.stayparkcitycycling.com/weekly-rides

As much as we love every season, each year at the end of winter, when the resorts have closed, we crave the warmth of the desert. Last weekend we headed 5 hours south to St. George to get warmed to the core and enjoy some incredible mountain biking. Chandra and I explored the JEM trails above Hurricane (pronounced Her-kin by the locals) and I had a blast riding the 6 Hours of Frog Hollow bike race.

Wildfires are a part of life in the West and it's important to be prepared. Local radio station KPCW shared recommendations from the Park City Fire District to help keep your home safe.
One thing's for sure, Parkites love the great outdoors! Recycle Utah helps keep our community beautiful with recycling and encourages good practice such as #PickUpParkCity. Earth Day is coming up and they have a film screening on Earth Day in conjunction with the Park City Film Series.
